Daymak, a Canadian manufacturer of vehicles, claimed that it was creating a three-wheeled electric vehicle that could mine bitcoin, ethereum, or dogecoin in its downtime. We finally saw the apparently real thing.
A video, first spotted by Electrek, has been posted to YouTube. It was shared on LinkedIn and shared by Mike Chow (Daymak’s Vice President for R&D), showing the “Spiritus 3Wheel All-Electric Car” first drive test.
A red car with a maple leaf logo on it is seen driving along empty streets and parking lots. In other words, it is real and can drive. It’s not clear, however, if Spiritus will deliver on its promises beyond these basic facts.
Daymak Avvenire’s Spiritus, a fully-loaded two-seater electric vehicle with optional autonomous driving features, Wi-Fi connectivity, AC, 12-speaker stereo system, and solar panels for additional trickle charging — all to enhance your daily commute,” says the Daymak website. The Spiritus has a super-fast charging time of fewer than two hours and a backup camera, as well as a GPS alarm system and more. It also offers a range of up to 480km or 300 miles!
Daymak states that potential customers can pre-order the car starting from $21,495. Daymak also says that deliveries will start in 2023.
There is no word yet as to whether customers will be able to mine Shiba Inu on their three-wheeled vehicles.
